Be sure to let your voice be heard when it comes to the I-66 plan. Driving to work or school for residents of the 86th District already comes with a high price to pay. If occupancy changes are implemented, a drive to DC would add a huge cost to carpoolers and we've been tolled enough! I also worry about the impact to one our district's economic engines, Dulles Airport, when fliers' access would be limited to and from the city.
There are better ways to cover our funding gap, like restoring our gasoline revenue and then applying a growth index that meets our needs for the future. We can achieve a better deal by working together and fighting for our families, friends, and neighbors.
